Plant Cultivation Methods

Over the years, the breadth of methods available to plant breeders has continually increased. The 1970s saw the introduction of biotechnological methods. They do not replace classical breeding methods, instead enhance the variety of tools breeders have at their disposal. At any rate, the decisive factor in new varieties is the improvement brought about by breeding and not the breeding method used.
